Thank You!

I just wanted to send out a personal thank you to everyone that made the second book a reality.  With the extension last December from BookLocker to the funding efforts on Kickstarter in March to all those that assisted in making the Virtual Book Launch last week a success, Thank You!

Peas and Bananas At the Zoo with Lil Boo made its debut release at Number 8 on the BookLocker Best Sellers list and maintained it for a solid week!  That is one slot better then the release of Peas and Bananas Outside with Lil Boo during its release week in December ’09.

As my dad once said to me with a stunned look on his face, “WOW you have an ISBN to your name! WOW you wrote a children’s book!  How awesome is that!?!” (note he would condone the use of the word ‘wow’ or ‘awesome’ as actual words as they would not be considered proper English words in his humble British opinion).  Well dad, I now have two ISBN’s to my name with two mildly successfully books.  If he were still with us today, I could only imagine the choice words he would select.

Many companies along with individuals have supported the Daddy Bookins/Peas and Bananas brand.  From the days of dying my hair green for shock and awe to learning some of life’s most brutally tough lessons, every step I make and corner I turn is a new experience.  Without the caring and loving support of my wife and son – this truly would not be possible and I am very grateful to have them both by my side.  The same holds true for the support of my illustrator who believed in me (though she even questioned my sanity at times as much as my wife has in the past), she is amazing!  As well as all of those that stood by me through the highs and lows.  Each and every one of you are outstanding.

The opportunities are endless as each day a new door opens.  You will be hearing and seeing a lot from me over the next few weeks, we have a lot of great ideas and plans in which ultimately we will need your assistance in making it all come true.  I hope you will join us on this journey!
